Join Aberdeen Arts Centre for two spectacular nights of live entertainment as more than 100 performers come together for the Big Variety Show, a special fundraising event in support of the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign.
Showcasing the breadth and talent of the north east’s performing arts community, each evening features a completely different line-up of professional and amateur performers, making both nights a unique experience. Audiences can expect an exciting mix of drama, musical theatre, live music, dance, comedy, magic, acrobatics and much more.
Friday night’s line-up features performances from Aberdeen Magical Society, Aberdeen Songwriter Sessions, Community Integrated Care, Danz Creations, Eclipse Gymnastics, Lamour School of Dance, Leading Lights, Ocean’s 3 and West End Dance Studio.
Saturday night’s line-up includes Aberdeen University Show Choir, Academy of Performing Arts, Four Magicians, Gray School of Dance, Leanne MacVeigh Dance Academy, Natalie Tough School of Dance, RC Performing Arts, Studio Theatre Group and TaleGate Theatre Productions.
Hosting both evenings are internationally acclaimed comedy magic duo Smith & Burns, whose career has taken them from Aberdeen to stages in Hollywood, Las Vegas and off-Broadway.
Every performer has a connection to Aberdeen Arts Centre, whether through regular appearances on its stages or as artists whose careers were nurtured at the venue. The Big Variety Show is both a celebration of local creativity and an opportunity to help secure the future of one of the region’s most important cultural institutions.
